How can I create a trip?
The first thing you have to decide is whether you are planning a new trip or remembering a past one. Then, follow the three easy steps as indicated. They may differ a bit depending on the kind of trip you are creating (future or past).

Can I create a current trip?
Not exactly. Your future trips automatically become current or past depending on the date.
What's a stage?
Many trips lack a single destination so we provide you the opportunity to add more locations. These are called stages. Experiences are filed and organized by stages. So, be sure to choose the correct ones.
My destination is not in your database, what should I do?
We use Yahoo's Geo Planet™, which we think is pretty complete. However, if you can't find the city or town you’re looking for, please please contact us and we'll try to include it as soon as we can.
What do Trourist Advisors do?
They are Trourist Friends who have visited or are from the locations you are visiting. They can bookmark experiences for your planning trips and suggest things to do.
Must Trourist Advisors be my Trourist Friends?
Trourist Advisors must be people you (or fellow Trourists traveling with you) know. Why? Because they know your interests and the kind of things you like to do. Otherwise, their advice wouldn't have the value it does in Trourist.
Can I use Trourist Advisors from past trips?
There's not much sense to that, really. A Trourist Advisor can help you plan a future trip and bookmark new, interesting experiences for you. Clearly, this does not apply to past trips.
Experiences
What's an experience?
Experiences determine the difference of one city’s appeal over another. These experiences tend to carve a special and lasting niche in your memory bank. An experience evokes something you enjoyed during a trip (or can be a fond memory of your hometown) that you want to share with others. At Trourist, these experiences may contain images, links and locations.
You can bookmark experiences created by other Trourists for planning future trips.
You can also create experiences of trips you’re remembering. Other Trourists may find them very useful while they’re looking for things to enjoy on their next trip.
What's a hometown experience?
Hometown experiences are experiences you can create from your profile and do not belong to any trip but your hometown. They have a special value because nobody knows your hometown better than you do.
Account
Can I combine my Trourist and Facebook accounts?
Yes, sure. You can connect them when you login, either in your profile or when you invite your friends to Trourist. You just have to click on the Facebook Connect. Once connected, you can login to Trourist using your Facebook username and password. Your Trourist activity will appear on your Facebook newsfeed.
Can I delete my Trourist account?
We truly hope you never do. But if you must, just go to your profile and click the "Delete account" tab. We’ll ask you to confirm your decision and once you’ve done so, your account will be cancelled. Keep in mind that when you delete your account, every experience you created will be deleted too. So your experiences will cease to exist. Period.
